Water Testing

Water can dissolve many minerals or chemicals and transport microbiological contaminants. The purpose of testing water onsite from your water sources is to determine if the water is safe to drink.

Current department health requirements vary from Microbiological to chemical analysis.

Microbiological testing identifies total coliforms (a type of bacteria) and faecal coliforms in drinking water. The total coliform test will show the total bacterial loading found in the water sample. The faecal coliform test will indicate the level of faecal contamination in the water and how safe the water is to drink.

Chemical testing is made up of a range of chemical elements and compounds. Some of the elements are heavy metals that may pose a risk to your health while others may only affect the taste.

Complete Envirotest (CET) provides a complete water monitoring system for drinking water and down hole bore monitoring. Guidance notes and sampling techniques from Australian/New Zealand Standard 5667.11:1998 are followed to ensure correct handling and preservation of samples.

CET will devise a system to cover all areas of the client’s required sampling program. The objectives along with resource constraints are the major factor in determining the following:

Water Testing

Standard drinking and chemical water tests are conducted using a (NATA) National Association of Testing Authorities. CET utilises various sample collection containers supplied by MPL laboratories based on required analysis of each sample.
